Privacy policy
Effective 1 June 2026
This policy explains what personal information Jobcom handles and how we protect it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
For account holders: name, email and organisation details needed to operate the platform.
For applicants: the details and documents you choose to provide when you apply, such as your name, contact details, work rights information and resume.
How we use it
We use account information to operate the platform and applicant information to process applications for the role you applied to. We do not sell personal information.
How we protect it
Applicant documents are private and access-controlled. There are no public file links. Files are served only through short-lived signed links after a permission check, and every access is logged. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and for legitimate record-keeping, then anonymise or delete it. See our data retention policy for detail.
Where your data is processed
Personal information is processed and stored in Australia, except where a sub-processor is disclosed as offshore. Our transactional email is sent through an offshore provider, so recipient email addresses and message content (never resumes or documents) are processed outside Australia. We do not use any AI or model provider, so applicant information is never sent to one.
The full list of sub-processors, what each one does, where it operates and the data it handles is on our sub-processors page, which always reflects our current configuration.
Your choices
You can ask what personal information we hold about you and request access, correction or deletion. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
