Self Service LMT terms

Effective 24 October 2026

These terms apply to Self Service LMT, where you buy credits and build and publish your own job advertisements. They add to our terms of service, which also apply to you. Where the two differ for Self Service LMT, these terms apply.

What Self Service LMT is

With Self Service LMT you write and publish your own advertisements, and Jobcom places them on the job boards listed when you publish, collects applications for you, captures the advertising on the boards, and prepares documents you can download when the advertising period ends.

Jobcom does not provide legal or migration advice, does not make eligibility decisions, and does not guarantee any immigration, sponsorship, nomination or visa outcome. You and your advisers decide whether an advertisement and its supporting documents meet the requirements that apply to you.

Your account

A Self Service LMT account is for a business: an employer, or a migration agency advertising for its clients. You must give accurate details, including an Australian Business Number, and confirm your email address with the code we send you. Keep your sign-in details confidential.

When you advertise for an employer, you confirm that you have that employer's authority to advertise the role in its name, and that the details you give about the employer and the role are accurate.

Credits

One credit pays for one advertisement for one role. A credit is used when you first publish an advertisement, and only once for that advertisement; drafts are free.

Each lot of credits you buy can be used for six calendar months, until the end of the same calendar day six months later, in Perth time. Credits that are not used in that time expire. Credits cannot be transferred to another account and have no cash value.

Unused or expired credits are not refunded, except where the Australian Consumer Law or another law requires a refund. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under that law.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. You pay by card through our payment provider, Stripe, which holds your card details; Jobcom does not see or store them. A tax invoice is issued for each purchase.

Each completed advertisement comes with a listing statement showing which purchase its credit came from. A listing statement is a record for you, not a tax invoice.

We may change our prices for future purchases. A change never affects credits you have already bought.

Monthly plans

A monthly plan is charged each month and gives you that month's credits once the payment succeeds. Each month's credits can be used for six calendar months, like any other credits.

A plan has a minimum of three monthly payments. You can ask to cancel at any time; the plan then ends after the third payment, or at the end of the month already paid for if that is later. If a payment fails, that month's credits are not given until it is paid, and we may end the plan if it is not.

Your advertisements

You are responsible for what your advertisements say. They must be accurate, describe a genuine vacancy, comply with the law (including anti-discrimination law), and not mislead applicants. We check advertisements, including with automated tools, for content that may breach these terms. We may decline, pause or remove an advertisement that we reasonably believe breaches these terms, the law or a job board's rules, and we will tell you if we do. Advertisements must not include phone numbers or email addresses: applicants apply through Jobcom.

You can change a draft as often as you like before you publish it. Once an advertisement is published it cannot be edited, so check it carefully before you publish. If a change is needed after publishing, contact Jobcom support and quote the listing reference shown on your listing.

Job boards are run by other businesses, which decide what they publish and for how long. The boards that take your advertisement from our feed usually show it within 12 to 24 hours of publishing. Jobcom posts it on Workforce Australia for you, usually within one business day. We cannot control a board's decisions or its timing.

CareerOne

You post your advertisement on CareerOne yourself, from the publish page, after checking the details we suggest. Each advertisement can be posted on CareerOne once. If you remove it from CareerOne, it cannot be posted there again, and that may affect the advertising evidence for that advertisement. CareerOne posting depends on availability and may sometimes be unavailable.

The advertising period and evidence

Your advertisement runs for 28 days from when you first publish it. During that time Jobcom captures the advertisement as it appears on the job boards. When the period ends, your listing is marked complete and you can download its documents: the listing outcome overview, the listing statement and a copy of each board capture. If we add a capture later, it is added to your documents.

We aim to capture your advertisement on at least three different job boards. Because the boards are run by other businesses, we cannot promise that every board publishes your advertisement or keeps it for the whole period. Whether the evidence meets your requirements is for you and your advisers to decide.

Applications and applicants' information

Applicants apply through Jobcom, and you can read their applications, answers and documents in your account. Jobcom does not screen, shortlist or rank applicants for you, and does not analyse their applications automatically.

Applicants' information is personal information. You must use it only to consider applicants for the role they applied for, keep it secure, not disclose it except as needed for that purpose or as the law requires, and handle it in line with the privacy laws that apply to you, including the Privacy Act 1988 where it applies. Our privacy policy explains how Jobcom handles applicants' information.

Records

We keep the records of your advertisements, their evidence and the applications for the periods set out in our privacy policy, and then delete them.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Jobcom's total liability to you for an advertisement is limited to the price of the credit used for it, or to placing the advertisement again. We are not responsible for the actions of job boards, payment providers or applicants. Nothing in these terms excludes a guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Suspending or closing an account

We may suspend or close an account that is used to breach these terms or the law, or to harm applicants, other users or Jobcom. You can ask us to close your account at any time. Credits are not refunded when an account closes, except where the law requires it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its effective date, and tell account holders about material changes. A change does not affect credits already bought or advertisements already published.
